The Chadwick A. Boseman College of Fine Arts proudly presents an inspiring evening celebrating the life, legacy, and artistry of Curtis Mayfield. Join us for a special screening of The Makings of Curtis Mayfield, followed by an engaging panel discussion featuring some of the most influential voices in music and film today.

This event brings together Grammy Award–winning producer, songwriter, and musician Jimmy Jam; Cheaa Mayfield, son of the legendary Curtis Mayfield; and Grammy Award–winning producer Peter Afterman (Juno, The Trial of the Chicago 7, Get on Up). The conversation will be moderated by Marcus Johnson—Billboard-ranked musician, NAACP Image Award nominee, JD/MBA, philanthropist, and founder of FLO Brands and FLO Wine.
